Before you start

Have these ready and you're most of the way there.

None of this is unusual and none of it is a credit check. It is the evidence a funding partner uses to see how your business actually trades — and having it ready is the difference between a file that moves this week and one that stalls.

Statements, a notebook, a calculator and a pen laid out on a desk.
  1. Last 3–4 months of business bank statements

This is the document that decides most of it. A partner is reading deposit consistency, average balance, and whether the account looks like a business operating rather than money passing through.

Clean versionAll pages, including the ones that look blank — a statement missing page 4 of 6 gets sent back. PDFs downloaded straight from your bank are best; photographs of paper are the slowest possible version of this.

  2. Driver's license for each owner

Identity verification for anyone holding 20% or more of the business. Standard, and not a credit inquiry.

Clean versionCurrent, not expired, and readable in full including the edges. If ownership is split in a way that is not obvious from the paperwork, say so up front rather than letting it surface later.

  3. A voided business check

It confirms the account that would receive funds and that it belongs to the business rather than to you personally.

Clean versionFrom the account your business actually operates out of — the one the statements are for. A mismatch between the two is a common and entirely avoidable delay.

  4. Your open positions, if any

Existing advances are not disqualifying. Concealed ones are close to it, because a partner finds them regardless and a file that disclosed them reads as one that can be trusted on everything else.

Clean versionWho you are with, the remaining amount, and the delivery amount and frequency. Approximate is fine; absent is not.

  5. Roughly what you need, and what for

A real number attached to a real reason gets a better response than a large round figure attached to nothing. It also helps us tell you when a different product fits better.

Clean version"$40,000 to cover payroll across a 60-day gap on a job that is already signed" tells a partner something. "As much as possible" tells them something too.

What nobody asks you for

Tax returns are not usually needed for revenue-based funding, and neither is a business plan, a pitch deck, or a personal financial statement. If something on this list surprises you by its absence, that is the point: the underwriting question here is about how your business trades, not about how well you present it.

You will not be asked for money. There is no cost to apply and no cost to have a file placed — funding partners pay us a commission when a deal funds. Anyone in this market asking a small business for an upfront fee to submit an application is doing something we do not do.

The half hour that saves a week

Download the statements before you start rather than during. Almost every file that stalls, stalls here — not because the documents do not exist but because gathering them takes an evening the owner did not plan for, and by the time they arrive the week has gone.

If your revenue is currently running through a personal account, that is worth fixing before applying rather than after. It cannot be underwritten as business revenue, and no explanation solves it retroactively.

What happens after you send it

Someone reads it and calls you. Not a sequence of automated emails, and not a form that disappears into a queue — the point of asking ten questions rather than thirty is that a person can read the answers in a minute and pick up the phone knowing something about your business.

On that call we will tell you which of the three products your file is a realistic candidate for, what a partner is likely to want to see, and whether anything on this page is missing in a way that will slow it down. If the honest answer is that we cannot help, you will get that on the first call rather than after a week.

Nothing is submitted anywhere until you know where it is going. We do not shop your file quietly, and you will know which funding partners received it — that is one of the three commitments this business is built on, and it is the one most easily broken without anyone noticing.

You don't need any of it to start

The application asks for none of these documents. It takes about two minutes, and it is enough for us to tell you honestly whether we can help before you spend an evening on paperwork. Gather them once someone has told you the file is worth submitting.

One form. Then a real conversation.

About two minutes, and none of the documents above are needed to start.
